The Vertical Contact Toaster (VCT) gives buns a consistent, golden brown finish — preventing ingredients from soaking in and helping the sandwich remain firm and delicious from the first bite. The Antunes VCT-50 bun grill has a hot platen inside, so buns will make contact with it when moving through the toasting chamber. As they touch the surface, sugars in the bread caramelize, creating a firm structure that supports condiments, vegetables, and other moist product.
